Wrap-ups
I suddenly noticed that people have been reading... and commenting on my blog... no one had for a while! In answer to Erika's question, I leave (OMG!) a week from today, that being: April 20th. I don't arrive for about 28 hours (OMG!), therefore I arrive on the 21st.
I talked to someone in The Gambia today, the first time I've talked to someone who is actually there, and they said I will probably be staying with a family for the first few days I am there. The Gambia's Baha'i National Convention is the weekend I arrive, so I will get to meet everyone then. Until then, I am really just waiting, there is nothing more for me to do, except pack, (not only for leaving, but everything in my room) and wait.
Looking forward to seeing everyone (family that is) on Sunday!

It's hard to believe that you'll be on your way in less than a week, Liam. Everything is falling nicely into place for you. So glad you'll have people to look after you for a few days while you get adjusted to the time change and all the other changes! Just plain exciting times, that's for sure!!!!!

Yeah, it really is nice to know there's going to people around to help me acclimate when I first get there (not that I thought I would be on my own, but its good to know). Its weird though seeing places and people and thinking that this might be the last time I see them for six months, or in the case of some of my co-workers, I may never see them again. Already I'm starting to see (although only on a somewhat superficial level) that this is a life changing event, a turning point in my life. haha, maybe I should have made this a new post!

I'm going miss seeing you. I miss you already and you're not gone. Just knowing you're leaving, makes me miss you and just be safe and come back safe and sound with lots of interesting stories.
