Test Time

The test I gave to the students went well...I enjoyed it anyway, it gave me lots of time to read through the new books that the Arrington's lent me. The books are really good, they are called "Liaden Universe" novels (www.korval.com).
I think that this week I am going to try making pancakes - probably on wednesday morning. I think it will be...interesting... because I have no way of measuring anything, so I'll just have to guestimate it.
I came out to Kia's (the Shams' house) yesterday afternoon in the rain. I've decided that I must get mud-guards for over my bicycle tires. I got completely covered in mud. It was not cool.
As far as going to the village to teach the children's classes which we had been planning to do, they've decided that during the rainy season it is not good to go. The villagers are busy farming etc. and don't really have the time to spare - especially on weekends.
Last night Andre, a Baha'i from Belgium who is here working for a few months, came over to join Kia and me for dinner. It was really cool to chat with him about his work; he is heading a project that is doing research into pneumococcous (a bacteria that causes, among other things, pneumonia) for use in developing countries. It sounds amazing.
I seem to be sort of running out of things to write about, but I think its because I've really settled in here, and most things are now just part of the every-day!
I am missing Family get-togethers at the shore!
